Alberta has both temporary and permanent casino sites.The Alberta Gaming Commission grants licenses and monitors all casinos bingo, raffle and pull tab ticket activities.Private companies own the facilities and manage the games, but the proceeds of all games must benefit the charities that obtain licenses for the events.Alberta licenses the two 10 day casinos at the Calgary Stampede and the Edmonton Exhibition each summer as well as the other year round casinos listed below.The year round casinos are generally open from 12 noon to midnight or 2am, except Sundays.
