In 1994 the Eastern Band of Cherokee signed a compact with the state allowing video gaming devices requiring some type of skill or dexterity. Over 60 some different machines have been approved. including video poker, video pull tabs, video single and multiple station blackjack and video craps. after approvals from the National Indian Gaming Commission and other federal agencies construction will start on the video casino.
