CURRENCY CONTROLS: The Zambian currency Kwacha is divided into Ngwee.There is a strict domestic currency control with a maximum of Kw 91,500 (equivalent to US$100) that can be legally imported or exported by bank transfer or in person.Foreign currency may be freely imported and exported, but amounts over US$5,000 must be declared.Reconversion of the Kwacha up to US$2,000 or equivalent is allowed.
